After teasing fans with a first look at the movie at CinemaCon in April 2024, Paramount has finally unveiled the first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The new trailer brings the dark and edgy hedgehog to the movie franchise, along with some exciting new characters.

The trailer opens with Sonic running through a forest, his eyes glowing red. He is then seen fighting Shadow the Hedgehog, a dark and mysterious figure who is Sonic's doppelgänger. The trailer also introduces Knuckles the Echidna, a powerful warrior who is searching for the Master Emerald.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is directed by Jeff Fowler and stars Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Idris Elba as Knuckles, and Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik. The movie is scheduled to be released on December 20, 2024.
